I was down 7/4 in the first, as he started extremely well, a good structured game. Then he had a few tough calls and I think it allowed me to really get in the match as I had an edgy start.
As the match went along, I took more and more confidence in my game, but in the 3rd, I rushed a bit too much as I saw the finishing line…
It’s all in the head really. In Manchester, no offence to Grégoire who played very well, but I didn’t play a good squash, I was not ready mentally to play a tournament. But this one, I am ready. This match was my main goal, and I’m happy I was sharp again.
