I’m so pleased to be back playing a competition, because I didn’t play in Manchester, so this is my first match since BlackBall.
I had a shoulder injury during the off season, I started playing squash at the end of the lockdown end of June, but had to stop end of July. I’ve only been back on court for the past three weeks. I’m fine now, I’m trying not to think about it, and when I manage to do that, I’m ok.
I was so excited to be able to play I think I was a bit nervous at the start of the match, and I didn’t go for my short shots, which is what I love doing. But as the match advanced, I was able to relax and get more attacking. But she was playing well too, was very positive, and would attacking any loose shot I was playing, and that was really tricky for me.
