Last time we played was a couple of years ago, and she has definitely improved. I think I underestimated her a bit, she finds her targets well, and goes for her shots every time she’s got the opportunity.
I didn’t feel super comfortable on court, happy with the way I pushed through.
It was a good opportunity to get to the third round, which I never done. And the points I could get was also on my mind, especially if that’s the last tournament of the season.
She is particularly dangerous if she’s got the time. She has a typical English game, so I tried to make her feel uneasy, taking away the time away from the T. It’s good to come out of top of such a battle, I’ve been working with my mental coach and my coach David to try and keep the momentum when it goes hard and physical. So, happy with my performance.
