Mostafa Asal (EGY) 3-0 Simon Rösner (GER) 11-5, 11-8, 12-10 (56m)
Simon is such a dangerous player, so talented, and when I saw the draw, I thought that is tough. But I train with Gawad, and that helped me to put up a plan as I watch him play Simon, and I stuck to it.
My dad told me not to take my playstation, but I told him what am I going to do in those four walls all day! It’s helping me feeling relaxed, like it’s a normal day.
Apart from the fact I had a huge headache since 5pm yesterday until breakfast this morning, I still have the feeling that I am in practice. I’m confident, I feel comfortable. And I want to play on the glass court. If you lose on a traditional court that is not streamed as well, nobody will know you ever were in the tournament. So might as well win the tournament!
I worked hard to adapt, to make my body more powerful, so it’s my home, why not like I said go through and through?
