SEMI-FINALS : It’s all-Egypt for the titles

Two Egyptian champions will be crowned in front of the Pyramids tomorrow after semi-final victories for Raneem El Welily, Nour El Sherbini, Ali Farag and Karim Abdel Gawad.

In the CIB PSA Worlds semis top seed Welily recovered from a game down to beat Nouran Gohar while defending champion Nour El Sherbini ended the run of Hania El Hammamy in straight games.

In the Men’s PSA Egyptian Open semis Farag and Gawad enjoyed straight-game wins over Paul Coll and Joel Makin, setting up a repeat of their 2016 Al Ahram final here – and the women’s final is also a repeat of that event’s climax.
