It might have been a short match between Joshna – who last won against Nour back in 2009 – and Nour, but they both did their best to make the court as big as possible for the other one.
Played in the utmost respect they have for each other, Nour could never relaxed, although she was rather comfy in the first game – Joshna coming from the traditional court, took a little 7m to get used to the court, as so often.
The second, Nour takes a good start , 5/2, but the rest of the game is neck to neck, 5/5, 6/6, 8/9, 10/8 Nour, 11/9 in 12m. The third is closer from the start, Joshna truly up for it and stepping beautifully up the court, finding her legendary boasts from all the positions in the court!

“They’re very hard conditions here and when you’re playing a very experienced player you have to be ready.
“Joshna played really well in the last two games and it was very close until the end, but I’m really happy that I closed it out.
“People have different styles, of course I’m glad that I have many shots that I can play, I always try to use them and try to improve these shots as much as I can. Hopefully next time it will work even better than today.
“Nour and Hania are two top Egyptian players and I’m sure they are going to have a tough match. I don’t mind playing either of them, so I just hope it will be a good match and I will wait for the better player tomorrow.”
