Action continued this evening at the Pyramids with the bottom half of the draws.
There was Egyptian interest in all four matches, as second and third seeds Nour El Sherbini and Hania El Hammamy guaranteed a home women’s finalist as the beat SJ Perry and Olivia Fiechter.
Both men’s matches went to five, with Paul Coll and Diego Elias both coming from one-two down to deny Fares Dessouky and Marwan ElShorbagy.
