It’s one of my biggest wins ranking wise and it’s nice to do it when the season starts, you know, and maybe just set you up well for what’s coming ahead.
I had some very close losses last season at the Indian open, the British Open, you know, going into five. So I think I learned quite a lot, I’d say, and I put it into the lab with James this summer. I spent a lot of time in Ponte, and I think it paid off
I think having someone who’s been, you know, the best in the world can really give me some insights into things I don’t see on court. Shots I can play, you know, patterns I can develop to win rallies against guys who he’s played on tour as well. So I think it comes in handy that he’s played Marche before – we had a great chat today.
