Satomi
I wasn’t sure I could keep it calm, but just about enough to be able to think about what I need to do on court.
Obviously she plays so well, it was really tricky, so hard to get the rhythm of my game, it was more of her game. And I was struggling finding my length as well, so I was just telling myself ‘make sure that the ball is in, make sure you keep the rally long’ because that’s I think was a game that would suit me more than hers.
I was trying to make her go from corner to corner, if she gets the ball I thought, and plays some amazing shots, that’s fine, that’s all to her credit, like if she rolls the ball, there’s not much I can do about it.
I was trying to keep the ball above the tin, and below the line!
I’m playing Fayrouz, another tricky match. I played her at the end fo the season, the WT Finals, but it was a different format and on the glass. It’s the first time I’m playing her this season, and I assume there will be many more times, so, reset, regroup and try to bring my A game.
