Kareem : Before the first match of the tournament, you are stressed, you are overthinking.
And lately, I’ve been playing very early, or very late! And you know us Egyptians, midday is very early [it’s the middle of the night, Fram]!!! We shouldn’t play PSA matches before 2pm… 😊
So I felt a bit sleepy to start with, I felt stressed, my body is shaking. But after the first game, your body is getting used to it, it feels more relaxed, the pressure goes away and you can play your squash.
But overall, I felt very good today, about my performance, about my confidence, I really needed that first round match to get my confidence back.
