Last time when we played three months ago, I wasn’t ready at all and I was match ball up and I didn’t win that one, but today I came with a new mindset.
Today, I focused on my mental part, not just the squash with the physical fight. Of course, squash is a huge fight physically but away from the technique and stuff, it’s more of a mental thing for me.
I have for the past two weeks added a new member to my team, a mental coach, Dr Mohamed El Safa Eldeen, it’s been amazing to work with him. It’s just a pleasure for me to have him here. We have been working on a lot of strategies lately, and he helped me improve a lot.
I was overthinking a lot, and I had too many emotions inside me, I had a huge fight in my head, and I needed to let it out and he helped me to do that.
I’ve been watching this tournament like since I was 12 or something and it was always my dream to be on the Pyramids. Today I came out with a goal, more than revenge, to just go and win it! It was a tough match and I’m very happy to win that one.
Way too many emotions will be there but I’ll be sure to talk it out before my match and just try to play without all the emotions going on and focus on my game. I want to have more time at the Pyramids, not just a one-time thing!
