Seeds ease through to quarters on Day Four
There were two lengthy men’s matches to start the day at the Shooting Club, as England’s Daryl Selby and New Zealand’s Paul Coll booked their quarter-final spots. Both will play on the Glass Court on Tuesday, Selby up against top seed Ali Farag who beat Mazen Hesham, while Coll will meet Fares Dessouky, who followed up his win over fourth seed Simon Rosner with a comprehensive victory over Saurav Ghosal.
The women’s matches, all on the Glass Court, also went to seeding and all finished in straight games as Egyptian trio Raneem El Welily, Nour El Tayeb and Nouran Gohar were joined in the quarters by England’s Sarah-Jane Perry.
