“I played Hana in Qatar last year and got absolutely battered, so I knew what I was coming up against.
I watched her match last night and I know she’s brutal on the volley. In the first two games I gave her the middle far too much. I changed my plan quite a bit, tried to hit the back corners and just focused on that in the third and made it tough for her. Then I started to find my short game towards the end and I’m really happy with that.
“I feel really happy with my squash at the moment. I know everyone says it but I put in some good work in the pre-season and I feel really good physically. Squash-wise things are good, much better than during the British Nationals!”
