Sébastien
I quickly positioned myself high up the court, taking him out of the middle area because he’s really good when he has openings. I set a fast pace, varied my shots, crosscourted a lot and wide.
I felt good, I was quick, applied good pressure, played a solid match, and he couldn’t get into the game. I wanted to keep him in that state where he couldn’t settle in, and I succeeded. That gave me the match quite easily.
I’m playing Greg tomorrow. I’ve never beaten him, and I hope that will change tomorrow. I’ve played him maybe three times, and I’ve done a lot of work since the last time we played, about a year and a half, two years ago. A lot has changed, both for him and for me. It’s never easy to play against French players, but it’s a good challenge, and it’s something I have to go through, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.
Oh, Sebastien Bonmalais – take a bow! 👏
