[LL] Marwan Assal (Egy) 3-1 Baptiste Masotti (Fra) 9-11, 11-9, 13-11, 11-6 (55m)
How is that for a story. A lucky loser and young ‘Honey’ takes the match in 55m in front of a delighted (and rightly loud) crowd… Yahya Elnawasany awaits next round…
Marwan : “I’m feeling so good right now. I played some super squash today.
“I’m really exhausted from this match, and before yesterday in qualifying I had such a tough match, 96 minutes, and I’m a Lucky Loser from that! “Lucky Loser means a lucky shot.
“I played very well today and I’m so happy with my performance.
“The CIB Egyptian Open is the best tournament of the year. I’m really super proud to have played here before the crowd today.
“I’m really looking forward to my next match.”
