R1: Zeina gets a win, and that’s a great feeling

Zeina Mickawy (Egy) 3-1 [Q] Habiba Hani (Egy) 11-9, 11-2, 9-11, 11-2 (39m)

Zeina : I started the season and trained really well in the pre-season, expecting some good results. Then I lost in the first round in London and in Qatar. It was a bit frustrating for me. I wanted to see results so quickly, but I know for sure it doesn’t come that way.

Today I knew she’s so good. She played really well, and she had won in the qualifications.

But apart from squash, it was the feeling of winning that I was so desperate for. I’m really glad I managed to hold my composure and get the win. Until the end, I was still in doubt. It’s just a feeling.

It’s not about squash, it’s from inside, because I haven’t been winning for quite a while. But I think I played really well, and it’s good to be winning again. I’ll try to stick to it and take it to the next match.
