I’m over the moon right now, I came here, didn’t expect anything, just to enjoy the experience and try to challenge the top players.
I kept focusing the whole match, pushing myself, ‘you can do that’, ‘you can challenge those top girls’. My coaches told me to believe in myself, kept pushing me, that I can play at that level, and having them in my corner today made a huge difference.
My parents are so happy, you can see how my mum is tense during my matches, she is moving with me! All the players are like that I guess.
I’m so thrilled, tomorrow I’m playing Nouran. I’m really looking forward to that one, I want to see how I can challenge her, all the pressure is on her, nothing on me, I’m just playing my first event on my whole life, and I’m just enjoying it.
