I was really well prepared before the match, mentally and tactically. I had a very good game plan which I knew how to execute, thanks to my coaches, Omar El Atmas and Ziad Rushdy. And it really helped me. It was not a out of character game plan, it’s the way I normally play, being really solid at the back, and then attack to the front.
She is so skillful, especially on her backhand, she maybe played like 15 drop shots from the back on her backhand, I knew she was going to play them, but I still couldn’t get them cause her shots are so good.
I’m really happy I was able to stick to my plan with a top 20 players.
I’m playing my friend tomorrow, Malak Khagafy. We play together a lot, and we used to play a lot in the juniors, we are around the same age even if I’m a bit older. We know each other’s game very well, and it’s going to be so much fun.
