Abdulla Al-Tamimi (Qat) 3-0 [7] Mohamed ElShorbagy (Eng) 11-9, 11-6, 11-8 (33m)
Yesterday, Abud talked about how he has changed his life to enjoy life more and how it is working for him very well on the court…
Today, he is saluting Mohamed, and how incredible beating him in Egypt is…
Interesting to note that Abud is not coached by Jonathan Power anymore, and that he is now working with Dan Jenson in Qatar, and started to work also with Greg Gaultier.

I have all those pictures with him when he was winning the Qatar Classic, Mohamed is our favourite player in Qatar, he is the one that gets the most support.
I played only once, and it was in Qatar, when I was still getting wild cards, trying to break through, I remember he told me after the match, ‘this time, you can’t beat me, because I’m playing home’.
So I am very happy to play here, in his old home, in Egypt, and beat him here.
I’m really happy I can call him my brother off the court, but on court, there is no brother, he tried everything to get in my head, and I’m really happy I kept my focus.
I know all the experience that he has, he’s always been by my side when I had my doubts, we have a lot of chats, he is always supportive. He told me some very nice words, he is one of the best guys, when he loses, he is always taking it nice.
I’m dreaming. I’d never thought I would ever get close to his level and reach a time in my career where I would be able to beat him.
At the moment, I’m playing well, I’m feeling fit, I’m very happy with the recovery day tomorrow.
