Leandro

I’m based in Spain, in Barcelona, with Victor Montserrat, the head coach of Barcelona Global Squash (BGS),. It was my first time playing David, but I saw him in July in a tournament in Spain. I knew he was very solid, still young but very solid, he can run, A LOT!

I knew I had to be patient, confident in my game, and I’m happy I was today, because last season, I didn’t play well, I was struggling with a shoulder injury. So it took me a while to come back in the rhythm of those guys. Then the first 4, 5 tournaments, I wasn’t 100%, so it as tough mentally as well.

Very happy with the win, as it’s been very tough very months, so even if it’s only the first round, it’s a very positive result for me, because of the way I played, the way I felt, the way I fought, when it’s 6, 7 all… I kept fighting, and that’s all I wanted.
