R2: Joachim takes a game from the #1

[1] Mostafa Asal (Egy) 3-1 [Q] Joachim Chuah (Mas) 11-3, 11-6, 6-11, 11-3 (46m)

Asal :“We used to play 2v1 when we were in the U.S. but we never thought we would be playing on a stage like this. I’m so happy for him. He’s such a skilful player, and you can see I’m very proud to see new generations coming through.

“All credit to him and his team, and I’m happy to get a win on the board.

“It’s a tricky one to play someone new on tour, but I’m sure he’s going to break through and is a future contender for a top ten spot.

“It’s lovely to play again in Egypt, my family and friends here. I’m looking forward to the next rounds.”
