[2] Amina Orfi (Egy) 3-0 Amina El Rihany (Egy) 11-4, 11-3, 11-3 (24m)
A brutal display of hitting from newly crowned World #1 Amina Orfi as she powers through to a 24-minute win over close friend Amina El Rihany. No-let up from the reigning World Champion, dropping just 10 points across the entire match.
Orfi will face Rowan Elaraby for a spot in the quarter-finals.
Amina : “Yeh, it felt really nice. We play a lot with each other in training and share a lot of the same coaches. It just feels great playing some you know well and train with and seeing them do well on the PSA Tour.
“The pressure doesn’t feel any different just yet. I feel it is just giving me a big push, playing really well from the very first point and I feel even more excited.
“Rowan is a great player, she has been a top-ten player for a while. We played last year at El Gouna and she’s been improving since. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”
