The 2024 CIB Egyptian Open continued today at the OWest Complex with eight Round Three matches from the bottom half of the draws. The afternoon matches are on the traditional court, then for the evening matches action moved to the all-Glass court.
Afternoon : Abbas comeback as ElShorbagy brothers advance
The day started with a tremendous comeback from two games down from Nada Abbas against Siva Subramaniam. ElShorbagy brothers Marwan and Mohamed advanced with wins over Victor Crouin and Ramit Tandon while Rowan Elaraby overcame Georgia Adderley in four games.
Evening : Four quick wins
There was much less drama in the evening session on the Glass Court as Nouran Gohar, Paul Coll, Sana Ibrahim and Mostafa Asal all went through to the quarters without dropping a game, Ibrahim beating qualifier Nour Heikal to become the only unseeded quarter-finalist.
